Creating an environmental club at your school can be very beneficial to spread awareness about the outdoors and sustainability methods. One big thing about environmental clubs is also getting people outside to show the importance of the outdoors. This can mean walks outdoors, hikes, campouts, or just hammocking at the end of the day. This can make people appreciate the outdoors more.
On this page, I show a few of the things my club, The Environmental Great Outdoors Club does at my school. I am super grateful to go to a school with all of these woods, but even if you do not have a lot of nature at your school, look into nearby areas or parks where you can do activities!
The area is cleared and the hammocks are ready to be used!
One big issue at my campus was a drainage issue coming from our lake to the nearby river. We worked on rerouting the trail for a short-term solution and are consulting with professionals on how to fix the pipe that is causing this erosion.
